Hall Township

History

Hall Township began its existence on November, 6, 1849 as Bloom Township. June 1850 saw Bloom Township being renamed Hall Township. Hall Township is situated in the southeastern corner of Bureau County and is bordered by the Illinois River to the south, LaSalle County to the east, Leepertown Township on the Southwest, Delby Township on the west and Westfield Township borders on the north.

There are 4 incorporated Cities, Towns or Village in Hall Township: Dalzell, DePue, Ladd, Seatonville and Spring Valley. There are also 6 unincorporated villages or communities: Churchill. Hegeler, Hicks Corners, Marquette, Ottville and Webster Park. Hall Township is also home to the following eleven cemeteries: Ladd Cemetery, Lituanian Cemetery, Miller Cemetery, Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Ottville, Cemetery, St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery, St George's Syrian Cemetery, St. Joseph's, St. Valentine's Cemetery, St. Peter and Paul Cemetery and the Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
